  • Adjust Power Settings on a Field Gauge

This article will show you how to adjust settings for:

    • Backlight Brightness
    • Backlight Auto Off
    • Auto Power Off

    Backlight
The backlight on a Field Gauge makes it easier to read the information on the display when it is on. Because the backlight draws more power from the AA batteries when it is lit, we’ve given you the ability to adjust settings to get the ideal balance between visibility & battery power management, depending on your preferences and work environment.

    Auto Power Off
This feature allows you to pre-determine when, and if, you want the Field Gauge to power off on its own to conserve battery life.

  • Change Engineering Units on a Field Gauge LC10

This article will show you how to:

    • Quickly switch standard pressure and temperature engineering units.
    • Add or remove standard pressure engineering units.
    • Add a custom pressure engineering units to a Field Gauge.
  • Link Field Gauge to FieldLab Desktop

Manage setting and update firmware on a Field Gauge by linking it to FieldLab Desktop on your computer.

  • Calibrate the pressure sensor on a Field Gauge

Do-it-yourself instructions for calibrating a Field Gauge with free FieldLab Desktop software. At the end of this process, FieldLab Desktop will compare the readings from your Reference device and Field Gauge (Zero, Mid Point, and Full Span) and if it is out of spec; automatically make any necessary adjustments to bring your Field Gauge to acceptable tolerances.

  • Download Calibration Certificate for a Field Gauge

If you had your FieldLab or Field Gauge calibrated by Ralston Instruments using one of their NIST traceable standards, you can access a digital copy of the certificate and download it in PDF format from this website.

  • Run a Calibration Test on another device from your computer with a Field Gauge

Use a Ralston Field Gauge as a reference to calibrate other devices. All Ralston Field Gauges ship with a tested +/-0.25% full scale accuracy (ASME Grade 3A / ISO Class 0.25).

Calibration Tests can be run right from your computer with Benchtop Calibration.
